Where they agree

Both apps are built for logging quickly between sets, with previous numbers shown and a rest timer. Both keep a full history with best lifts. Pricing is close: Lift on the web is $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year, the same as Strong's monthly and annual tiers, and Lift's lifetime is $84.99 against Strong's $99.99. Strong's free tier allows three routines; Lift's allows two plans.

Where they differ

What you see after training. Strong shows progress as charts per exercise, plus body measurements in Pro. Lift shows the week on a muscle map, front and back, and the charts sit behind it. If you think in exercises, Strong's view is direct. If you think in muscles and balance, Lift's is.

Web. Strong has no web app; everything lives on the phone and watch. Lift Pro syncs to a web dashboard where you can review months of history and edit plans. Lift also sells Pro on the web, where it costs less than in the app.

Watch and Android. Strong has an Apple Watch app for logging from the wrist and an Android app. Lift has neither; it reads heart rate from the watch workout you record with Apple's Workout app, and it is iPhone-only.

Small tools. Strong Pro includes a plate calculator and body measurements. Lift tracks body weight but does not have a plate calculator.
